Movimenti delle palpebre al rallenty. L'odore della notte spalmato su abiti disordinati. Instancabili cicale giocano a nascondino tra le pieghe di campi incolti. Una spirale sonora che attira e respinge flussi di note che si confidano segretamente tra di loro. La natura dipinge con colori tenui le pareti fluide di questo carezzevole quadro sonoro. Si sorvolano cime di elevata bellezza nell'ipnotica "full bloom". Scaricare i pesi superflui per ottenere una migliore lievitazione e risvegliarsi di soprassalto tra le strade notturne infrasettimanali di un'assonnata città mitteleuropea. C'è questa intimità che mi abbraccia e a momenti mi sembra di essere seduto accanto a Jan, nel balcone di questa vecchia villa dove sono nate queste tenui entità sonore vestite di ambient, ma con una profondità che penetra nel sottosuolo, sia terrestre che umano. Nature - "Forget The Theory" (Acustronica 031)

"Forget The Theory features two arrangements and five original pieces written by Kevin Higgins for his group Nature - a quartet with voice, electric guitar, electric bass and drums. The material was honed in a dozen live performances, then recorded over two days in spring 2012. The result is an album of dark grooves, mixing techno, funk and dubstep with contemporary jazz. In the foreground, ethereal vocals and frenzied guitar carry on an improvised dialogue. "Forget The Theory" captures the energy of their alternating conflict and cooperation. Behind them there's tension of another kind, as club-inspired drum beats threaten to melt into jazz cross-rhythms. This album was built off basslines: some abstract and symmetrically structured, some just funky. Poter usufruire di musica così buona con l’opzione free è veramente un gran regalo. La netlabel italiana Acustronica, guidata da Massimo Discepoli, continua la sua nitida strada proponendo con costanza lavori di assoluto valore. È il caso di questa release n°31 firmata Nature, band irlandese guidata dal bassista Kevin Higgins. Quattro eccellenti musicisti che dialogano tra di loro con affetto e disinvoltura, donando una sensazione di  puro divertimento. Oltre a possedere un'ottima tecnica destinata principalmente all’area umana ed un’apertura mentale che è una verde distesa irlandese, i quattro dublinesi sprofondano in sinergie sbalorditive colme di abilitá e intelligenza. Rock, hip-hop, reggae, progressive, jazz, disco...nei 90 la chiamavano fusion e i Nature devono averne masticata parecchia. Tempi dispari che sorridenti passeggiano indifferenti."Forget the theory" è divertimento, energia positiva, creativitá e bravura. Consigliato a chi negli anni novanta si abbandonava ai suoni di Steps Ahead, Weather Report e fratelli.
